Not optimizing for that. I derive "10x" more satisfaction, because I'm able to work on more ambitious problems. I'm probably making less money than I would otherwise.
it is the richest country in the world, mate. Every citizen should get a comfortable life, not just a $1,000 check. But most of the money must go to the military and Wall Street.
You know the military is composed of citizens right? Our largest spending category is Social Security at 22%, Medicare at 14%, and then there's Veterans Benefits at 6%. So most of the money spent is for the people. Defense is 13%.
Social security shouldn't count as spending at all, unless you are an actual accountant, and Veterans benefits ARE Defense spending to normal people. Which means that we spend 19% on so called 'defense', and it is our largest category of spending, far outstripping the next highest category of spending.
There is no architectural limitation that makes it impossible for a plugin to not have full filesystem access.
The fact that creating a good plugin system is difficult does not give them a free pass to not implement a good one, it is a for profit company that has a considerable revenue.
